Follow-up Comment #32, bug #57591 (project octave):

Try enabling core dumps.  In bash, it is "ulimit -c unlimited".  Then you can
run gdb on the core dump and the executable file that produced it.

If these are happening in the Qt graphics code, then I suspect more threading
issues, probably because we are not using mutexes appropriately when accessing
graphics objects.
