Follow-up Comment #10, bug #58296 (project octave):

Addressing #2 is quite easy.  A question has come up, however.  How should
"warning error" be treated?  Matlab has stopped documenting "error" as a
legitamate state, however the interpreter still accepts it.  On the other
hand, the interpreter disallows "warning error all".  Instead, you have to
individually select which warnings you want to turn in to errors.

Any thoughts on how to proceed?  I implemented the default which was to have
warning on|off|error turn everying to the specified state, but now the BIST
tests won't pass.
