Hello Mike,
I checked with Octave 5.2.0 and Win7. The problem still exists on my Win7
partition
Some weeks ago I upgraded on a different partition but the same machine to
Win10. No troubles there! Octave 5.1.0 and 5.2.0 work fine compiling and
executing the "mkoctfile" examples (Octave (5.1.0) documentation (A.3
Standalone Programs)).
So for me it seems, the troubles are system specific on my single Win7
partition. Please let me know, if I should check any parameter/OS settings to
find the root cause. Up to now my special Win7 partition still exists and it
is running very well
only this Octave issue has forced me to upgrade to Win10 to work on my diploma
thesis:-)
