Follow-up Comment #12, bug #57198 (project octave):
Still some other observations which might help to locate the problem:
After making the Editor visible again
- Size and position of an undocked Editor window are persistent
- Location of a docked widget is persistent
- Size of the docked widget is *not* persistent
