Follow-up Comment #1:
Thank you for the bug report. However, first please understand that you are
using a very old and unsupported version of Octave. I would recommend that you
refer to the wiki for Octave on macOS
(https://wiki.octave.org/Octave_for_macOS) and install a supported version of
either 4.4.1 or 5.1.0.
After doing that, if you still have problems, the best place to get help with
them would be the source of the Octave you have installed (octave-app,
homebrew, fink, or macports).
I'm closing this bug as invalid, but feel free to comment again if I'm wrong
or if problems persist after installing a recent version of Octave.
