Follow-up Comment #1:

Confirmed on Debian with Octave 4.4, 5.1, and 6. These deprecation warnings
can be avoided by the user with the following workaround.


setenv CXXFLAGS -Wno-deprecated-declarations
pkg install -forge econometrics


The package will need to be updated at some point to be compatible with the
changes in the API, because these warnings will eventually become errors in a
future version of Octave.
