Follow-up Comment #12, bug #50692 (project octave):
Where (on which pane) is the focus when this happens? on the terminal pane? or
is the focus not on Octave?
I'm asking because at work I often have my PC (Win 7 Enterprise) with Octave
in the foreground idle for hours and hours when I'm away for other tasks and I
never noted spurious newlines.
