Follow-up Comment #4, bug #55889 (project octave):
In this case it was because gcc-gmp used for build-gcc is static, which was
done at one stage because it was the only way to get everything to play nice
when building gcc, but may have changed in the versions since.
For the cross build the static tools dont really matter as its just a tool
used to build everything else. When its a native build however, thats not the
case any more.
