Follow-up Comment #19, bug #52996 (project octave):

This bug is still present.

In revision 5ace3d2b4674 jwe added a bunch of mlock statements to prevent the
oct file from being unloaded when an audioplayer or audiorecorder object is
created. I think sprinkling a couple more mlocks into this file will resolve
this, and should be safe to make on the stable branch.
