Follow-up Comment #1, bug #55816 (project octave):
What does "file browser lags, is excruciatingly slow" mean? That the response
to keyboard presses is slow? That there is, say, a ten second delay for the
first file window to open (sounds like a Windows font bug that has been around
a while)? Use seconds units to describe what is happening in detail.
