Follow-up Comment #39, bug #53841 (project octave): So your theory is that a QtHelp file successfully built with Qt 5.11 cannot be used as-is with Qt 5.12, that some kind of sql update procedure needs to be run and is run by Qt automatically when it is opened the first time? Is there an explanation for why copying the file to a temporary location and opening it from there doesn't work? I still don't understand that part. Is that a problem in copyCollectionFile, since it's a Qt library method, it also requires that the original file be writeable by the user?
