Follow-up Comment #15, bug #40686 (project octave):
It could be a bug in gnuplot. They show up once in a while for the less-used
scenarios. I'll have a look this weekend. If it looks like a bug to you,
create a changeset for gnuplot as well. gnuplot is a fairly easy program to
download and build.
