Follow-up Comment #59, bug #44916 (project octave): It does not look like an octave problem. If I ssh from i7 (HD3000 graphics) to amd (radeon graphics), OpenGL program would not work (even glxinfo just returns name of dislay: localhost:10.0 and then hangs -- Ctr-C returns to prompt). Going the other way (ssh from amd to i7 works. running e.g. sombrero (with qt graphics) results in libGL error: failed to authenticate magic 1 libGL error: failed to load driver: r600 error messages on the octave console, but sombrero diplays just fine. The same errors I get if I run glxgears...
