Follow-up Comment #1, bug #48369 (project octave): This is due to NSIS not being able to generate installers that (unzipped) are > 2 GB. I do not know if this qualifies for "regression". AFAIK NSIS has never been able to generate an unstripped installer. "make zipdist" is a way around. Even then you may end up with an archive of ~900 MB.
