Update of bug #31287 (project octave):
Status: Need Info => Fixed

Follow-up Comment #24:
Running Olaf's script file #22338 from comment #10 reports no errors except
"should not succeed but did" (many times).
Many of these use "false" in place of [], as JWE explicitly chose in comment
#16, though not all.
I'm inclined to close this as "fixed", unless we particularly want Octave to
throw more errors than now.
Status: need info -> fixed.
