Lachlan: I looked through your code and just want
to congratulate you on a job well-done.

And, of course, is there any chance that you would
be willing, and have the time, to work on another
of the "needy" functions that Rik listed?

By the way, the documentation of this function in the
Manual is very brief. Feel free to add some detail if
you think that it would help.
