Follow-up Comment #2, bug #45660 (project octave):
Yes, indeed. This functionality is only available up to version 2008a; yet it
provides a simple method for memory benchmarking.
This feature is only relevant if octave does not already provide a
platform-agnostic function to obtain memory usage of user programs.
