I guess you use gcc3 or gcc 2.96. If you have gcc 2.96,you should
install the kgcc package compile the library with it with
make CC=kgcc
Anyway, I fixed the compilation wranings in the CVS

The segfault does not appear to happen in the library.. That is weird.
If this is only thing that is generated before the crash, I guess it is
an MySQL bug. Did you try to upgrade ?
