That's a fair point.  I guess we the obvious answer is that when you're
using sendmail/pipe, it does nothing, which is accurate (but I think
we both agree that is probably incorrect).

Hm.  Well, here's what the manpage says:

       If a "Bcc:" field is encountered, its addresses will be used for deliv-
       ery,  and  the  "Bcc:"  field  will be removed from the message sent to
       sighted recipients.  The blind recipients will receive an entirely  new
       message  with  a  minimal  set of headers.  Included in the body of the
       message will be a copy of the message sent to the sighted recipients.

Which I think is an accurate description of what exactly happens (I
mean, with sendmail/pipe it doesn't currently WORK, but that's a bug).  I am
always open to a better explanation.
