I don't have truss, or know anything about it. Wikipedia doesn't say much
about it.

I m running Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation release 6.5 with Kernel
version 2.6.32-431.17.1.el6.x86_64 . I recall that Linux can run a program and
record system calls but I've forgotten how to do that, if I ever knew. I
believe that David Levine runs Linux.
