good idea.
"never" might have a place in a non-interactive usage.
"ask" means "ask before overwrite", i presume, not "ask for the new
name"? oh, i guess giving a new name could be one of the possible
responses to "ask":
overwrite file "foo.bar"? [No/yes/other] o
new filename?
