I know.  I'm saying "as long as we're overhauling that code *anyhow*,
we may as well fix *all* the obvious warts while we're there..."

Wow.  The mind boggles. Somebody got brave enough to update xterm - the same
one that has code so ugly that main.c starts off:

/*
 *                               W A R N I N G
 *
 * If you think you know what all of this code is doing, you are
 * probably very mistaken.  There be serious and nasty dragons here.
 *

(Tekproc.c warns "Warning, there be crufty dragons here.")
