Hello,

to do it quick, here is a previous thread published on the nel mailing list
that deals with collisions :
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/nel-all/2002-01/msg00023.html

The new things you have to know from this thread is that you have to setup
exterior mesh using both 'Collision Mesh' and 'Collision Mesh Exterior'
checked and only 'Collision Mesh' checked for interoior mesh. Ids shouldn't
make any difference now (but set exterior id to 666, just in case...)
You also have to make both interior and exterior meshes belong to the same
IG (e.g. the IGname field must be the same)
Eventually, the exterior collision mesh may be separated in multiple meshes
(all in the same IG), but make sure that all doors (on interior and exterior
meshes) have the same vertices...

Hope this will help !!
If you have any other issue, just ask ! :)

Hi,

I don't know if my problem has already been solved but I found no answer.
I want to build a landscape and add collision. I saved my zones separately
in .max files. On one zone I have two collision mesh. They are flagged
"Collision Mesh" and "Collision Mesh Exterior". When I run my test I can
collisde on these 2 meshes but there is a virtual edge that is buit beetween
them and I can't go beetwen them. I have tried to attach these meshes and to
make the gate edges invisible but it doesn't work. Also tried to set
different IDs but it fails too.
Can I have multiple Exterior meshes on a zone ? Is ther a way to cut this
gate?

Thanks in advance.
Stephane
