Remove the three lines of that commit, compile, and then do:
src/nano --ignore README
Press M-/ and M-6. See what it says then:
[ Extracting nothing -- please report a bug ]
The commit was meant to avoid that case, but I overlooked
the possibility of the mark being on. My mistake. Will
fix that.
