Looks good to me (haven't actually tested yet, though).

As for mentioning DOS or Mac file format on the status bar, it's not so
much whether they're still used often, but that it's only displayed for
one file at most; when opening multiple buffers, it isn't be displayed
for the other buffers.  With this change, it won't be displayed for any
of the buffers, so it doesn't change the status quo much.  The
information is still available via pressing Ctrl-O and noting the
prompt, in any case, and the line number count is more useful
information.
