it isnt advocacy, it's realistic. personally, i could care less about the GNU
project. realistically, GNU make is the only real make worth using. as long
as the people doing the real work use and develop with GNU make, things are
going to slip in over and over. installing GNU make gives people a full
featured version of make that'll always work.
