"Ummm" is right.  Thanks for trying, though.  1.3.8-cvs already includes
the aforementioned patch, in any case, and nobody else has reported the
same problem with it as the one you were having, so I'll go ahead with
the 1.3.8 release.  If this problem crops up again, let me know.
