Cambridge is looking at Shindig/Sakai integration. Ian and Nico cannot make it on Sunday either, but Michiel and I have registered (unfortunately we are the least technical, but I hope to learn something without being too distracting/disruptive). We will also attend (all 4) ApacheCon Europe on Wednesday mainly to go to the Shindig BOF.

I guess the registration URL for the event (see below) would be useful:

As you know I've been working on making Simal and open social
application and container. It is now working with simple frinds gadgets.
Currently it pulls social data from Simal and from MyExperiment. It is
also displaying a Sakai gadget (this is not an open social gadget but
demonstrates the value of open social and the Google Gadget spec for
lightweight collaboration).

On Sunday April 6th there will be an Open Social hackathon in London.
Unfortunately I will be unable to attend. However, if any projects are
particularly interested in exploring open social as a lightweight
collaboration tool for their projects I'd encourage you to attend.

If you are a JISC project OSS Watch may be able to assist with expenses.
Mail me directly to tell me why you are interested in open social and
why you want to attend the hackathon. If it all fits withihn the remit
of OSS Watch then we should be able to help (clue, we are interested in
open development and open source).
