Agreed. As discussed yesterday, this is why a stable API is something we need
to create, allowing Excel to interact with a myExperiment site without
affecting the freedoms of those using myExperiment to build the portal. It also
lets us get over the 'Launchpad' problem in a way that will actually encourage
people to make the portal better.

Hi all,
It would be good to discuss this in the myexp meeting next week. We
need to make sure that we're not going to restrict third party
developers from working with us (From my understanding on this thread I
think it should be okay, but it's certainly a good point for discussion
next week).
