I have just pushed a rev tagged monotone-0.40-6, and you can download
binary and source packages from
http://www.transientstation.com/debian/ I *hope* this fixes the
catastrophic FTBFS, but as I could never reproduce it in the first
place, I'm essentially engaging in debugging by upload here ...
