The $MONIT_DESCRIPTION variable is currently not an option out of the
box. Perhaps Patrik Israelsson can share his code changes he mentions
here: http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/monit-general/2007-02/msg00061.html

Better yet would be to have the code slipped into the next release. =)
If said release is months away I know I could benefit from doing the
change manually until the release.
