Re: monit caused kernel panic

hi.... i think:

first kernel oops:
Sep 1 15:08:17 web2 kernel: Oops: 0000 [#1]
Sep 1 15:08:17 web2 kernel: Modules linked in: iptable_filter
ip_tables i2c_dev i2c_core nfs lockd sunrpc dm_mirror dm_mod button
battery ac ohci_hcd hw_random e100 mii tg3 e1000 ext3 jbd

try to remove those modules or daemon that you dont use: like nfs lokd
sunrpc just shutdown the services and then remove wiht rmmod

second kernel panic:
Sep 1 15:08:17 web2 kernel: <0>Fatal exception: panic in 5 seconds
the kernel panic occurs just when monit was on CPU0.
I dont think that monit can freeze the kernel because it runs in user
mode. I think IPTABLES + NFS + RPC where the cause. Try to upgrade
your kernel... and wait.

Bye hans
