Thought everything was finally all set, even wrote a nice post
documenting some stuff.
Come back this evening to check things one more time (have to check
this stuff in tomorrow).
An poof, I get a bunch of "execution failed" status's, even though the
fricken process is running.
sudo monit summary
The monit daemon 4.9 uptime: 24m
Process 'mongrel_8000' running
Process 'mongrel_8001' Execution failed <==== what the
hell ?
Process 'mongrel_8002' Execution failed
ps -ef | grep mongrel
me 7197 1 0 22:09 ? 00:00:02 /usr/bin/ruby1.8
/usr/bin/mongrel_rails start -P
/home/me/workspace/rails_toucan/log/mongrel.8001.pid -d - <==== yep,
all 3 are here
me 7200 1 0 22:09 ? 00:00:02 /usr/bin/ruby1.8
/usr/bin/mongrel_rails start -P
/home/me/workspace/rails_toucan/log/mongrel.8002.pid -d -
me 7247 1 0 22:12 ? 00:00:02 /usr/bin/ruby1.8
/usr/bin/mongrel_rails start -P
/home/me/workspace/rails_toucan/log/mongrel.8000.pid -d -
if I kill one, monit does restart
cycle interval is now a whopping 3 minutes (seems like an eternity)
A google search reveals that no one knows what "execution failed" means.
