Do you lose the file names of the files in download or are you just looking at 
the logfile and see the filenames flying over the screen? The latter is normal 
and has nothing to do with hashing/recover.

This only happens when the core has been stopped improperly.
You mentioned that you are using the RH/Fedora package.
If you are using a stop mechanism provided by that package
please contact the author of that package.
If not please describe how you are stopping the core.
