Im new to mldonkey, but would like to use it as an 
alternative to edonkey2000. I downloaded mldonkey-2.02-
0.static.i486-linux.tar.bz2 and unpacked this file 
to /home/user/mldonkey. I then tried to start mldonkey 
using /home/user/mldonkey/mldonkey and the following 
occurs:

Your system supports 1024 file descriptors
using message file /root/.mldonkey_messages.ini
Illegal instruction


and then its back to the prompt. does anybody know 
what i am missing ?
i use mandrake 9.0.
