Summary: mldonkey 2.02-0 ignores max_connected_servers setting

Original Submission: I usually set this to 1, since I connect to the same
server all the time. After updating to 2.02-0 today (Dec 23 2002), I have
noticed that mldonkey seems to continue connecting to as many servers as it
can, completely ignoring the max_connected_servers setting. It also keeps
dropping connections to the servers its connected to.

Saying that this is annoying would be a gross understatement, so I'll assume
its a bug - unless its a feature that we as users need to know about. Please
let us know.

It's not a bug, it's a feature :)
mldonkey explained that, since many servers do not reply to UDP, mldonkey does
a "walk" over the whole servers list every 6 hours to check what servers are
really alive.

same here 2 connected servers and trying to connect to even more :(

UPDATE: After a while, mldonkey eventually obeys the max_connected_servers
limit and ends up staying connected to the same server that I wanted to connect
to all along (Silen-Bob). I'm still very curious as to why it was connecting
to servers so aggressively earlier, though.
