You can try to disable the history of files and clear it(clh command). We will 
try to understand what uses so much memory for next releases.

Hey :)
Im using Mldonkey .13 and I really love it.
The only problem is that since I use it (.10) it eats lots of memory and cpu 
resources..

this is the "top" line, using 90.3% of the cpu and 22.5% RAM
