Patches are always welcomed that much I can say

Hello,

MXE comes with a set of libraries that support development for Windows
in Mingw. One of tese libraries is libusb.

Unfortunately, MXE uses an outdate libusb-win32 here in this source
file: https://github.com/mxe/mxe/blob/master/src/libusb.mk

The project page of the included SourceForge repository says:
"libusb-win32 is a port of the USB library libusb-0.1
(http://sf.net/projects/libusb/) to 32/64bit Windows (2k, XP, 2003,
Vista, Win7, 2008; 98SE/ME for v0.1.12.2)."
It supports only Windows up to Windows 2008.

The current libusb is hosted at https://libusb.info/ and the new home
page encourages everabody to switch over to the new libusb:
"The old site (.org) is now obsolete, please use libusb.info.
All of the current libusb development team has moved to libusb.info."

Is there any plan to include an up-to-date version of libusb to MXE?

Best regards,
Helge
