OK.  Please document that after some `make update` calls the necessary
space on the hard disk in mxe's `usr` tree can increase enormously
since old stuff doesn't get removed.

Yes, this is what I called 'unstable' :-)

Why not?  It should only handle the part mxe will never be able to
handle, namely the cleaning up mxe's `usr` hierarchy.  It could also
be a helper tool to check the integrity of this tree so that a user
isn't forced to compile mxe from scratch in case something fails.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of those packages.  Personally, I
don't care what package managing system gets used, as long as it is
able to remove outdated files in mxe's `usr` tree :-)

I fully agree, and this should be retained.
