The other option would be to do an in-tree build, but most of what
I've read about GCC discourages this [1]. I *think* that warning may
not apply to mingw-cross-env though, since we don't try restarting

We're currently building in an unsupported manner anyway (in a
subdirectory), so the attached patch moves the build directory up one
level to be a sibling of the source. It's meant to be applied after
the mpfr update.
