One more note about this. There are also some changes not covered by 
merge request #654. Most importantly, more patching is needed to support 
linking to "system" zlib instead of the "qt" version. These are the 
subject of  another merge request #2126, by another contributor. There 
are also a few other minor changes.

I intend make this clearer in a later update for mingw-cross-env.
