Thanks for your replies and any more replies,input etc in the future. There of most great help. I really appreciate the time you took to write them. I'll (this newbie) have a look into running mediagoblin at home with the media (encodes and copies of the source files for sharing) hosted on a friends server which is http only no https. I have basic user & pass (not hashed. Haven’t got hashing to work yet if possible.) * How would this affect restricting media to private groups? * Private Groups? I have media from this innovation/social/chill-out space but I want to keep it privte for those of the space. What if I put a copy of mediagoblin behind a http(s?) user and pass? with the media on the remote server behind a globl http user & pass? * For ref, Would contributions of bash scripts be a problem? I love the ideas behind this project and hope that I can help further the project in the future.
