Hello people,

let me briefly introduce me and the association I work for, cause I'm
about to spend some time with mediagoblin in the near future.

The association is called "Musique Libre !" ("free - as in speech-
music"... I bet you guessed that already). It's been active since 2004
to promote another vision of music (and culture). In few words, let's
say that internet allows artists to do amazing things that I don't have
to describe. We work to provide great tools to artists who are eager to
share. Economy should bend to our values, not the other way around.

As of now we are proud to host 50 000 copylefted and open tracks and we
count 24 000 members.
Where ? Well, unfortunately, as it happens with non-profit
organizations, the technical part was left unattended for few years
(since 2008)... and it was enough for the website to fall apart
(attacks, HDD crash, script failures, etc.). The website is therefore
currently down, but you can find few data here: http://dogmazic.net(in
french - to be translated)

About me, I've been working for a big and quite decent society as a PHP
dev for 2,5 years, and I decided to quit to work for something I believe
in (I've heard that some of you are in the same case).

Thanks to diaspora and your donation campaign, I discovered mediagoblin
and thought it'd be the perfect tool to build the new website. Moreover,
we're way too few not to join forces.

Even if I don't pan to work "for" mediagoblin, fact is this is where I'm
gonna spend most of my time. That is why I wanted to introduce myself
properly. You can count on me full time for at least a year (after that,
we'll see if we can find enough money to keep going like this).

As I've said, I'm a PHP dev... so expect quite a lot annoying questions
at first... hopefully I'll be usefull soon enough !

However, I got quite a lot of experience in automated deployment for
I've worked on some huge projects.

I'm also an ergonomic enthousiast and I'm really good with CSS (proper
css, not the ugly ass sheets I see nearly everywhere :/)

Well, that's all for the presentation, I'm eager to get to know you
guys !

All the best and happy new year !
