Details:

Suggestion: quote characters in street names would be prettier if rendered in
the index as typographic quotes instead of straight ASCII quotes. This may
seem to be contrary to your "don't modify OSM data" dogma, but the difference
between an ordinary quote and a typographic quote character is in
presentation, not in semantics.

See attached patch.

Ultimately I believe we should import a version of snprintf to build in
missing.cpp if the native libc lacks this function (perhaps using the code
from glibc, or that is used in the gnulib project) rather than disable
features.  If someone wishes to build a patch to accomplish this, I would be
happy to accept it for a future release.

adding HAVE_SPRINTF to predefined in doxy should solve the second issue.  I
will have to look more into the question of what happens when we dont have
snprintf...
