Hum, sorry, but I don't think you're correct.

On the latitude side, yes, wherever you are on earth, 1° of latitude
will always be the same distance. However, the distance of 1° of
longitude depends on the latitude.

At the equator, 1° of longitude is a long distance, while near the
poles, it's a much shorter distance.
