Thanks for your enthusiasm.  As previously mentioned (e.g.
https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/man-db-devel/2016-10/msg00003.html),
though, I fundamentally don't like this UI change at all - I think it's
too idiosyncratic and confusing, even if you personally find it to have
some ergonomic benefits - and so I won't accept this or other variants
of it.

You're of course welcome to maintain a fork or a wrapper that does the
job, if this is something that you find suits the way you work.

I also appreciate that you've taken the effort to carve out
uncontroversial pieces of this and send them separately; although I know
I've sent you multiple rejection emails today, I do value having people
other than me who want to improve man-db!
