Hello,MSVC++ 5/6/7 should work fine. Your log just lists some of the many warnings in the make code. If the release/debug exe's are missing that is because you need to add "hash.obj" to the NMakefile to compile using "nmake /f NMakefile". (hash.obj was accidentally missed from the 3.80 distro I believe.)

Hello, this is the first time I tried to compile make-3.8. Platform: Window 98 Compiler: Visual C++, 6.0 It look that I could compile the sources, but it looks to me, that link failed. The first errors are shown in the attachment. Do I miss somthing? Or can I simply not use the Visual C/C++ compiler? Appreciate for any hint in this matter. Thanks and Best Regards Gerd Baumann
