I thought lzip would automagically integrate with file-roller, the gnome utility for compressing and decompressing files, but it didn't. That is probably not the intended behaviour, but could it be done? If so, how?

I have already created a patch to add support for lzip files to file-roller. You can see here http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=579467
