AFAIK Lynx is actually developed using a VCS, namely CVS.
A short
% fgrep -h '$LynxId:' src/LY*.c | cut -d: -f2- | awk '{print $3}' | sort |
tail -1
2023/01/07
shows that these CVS tags are indeed uptodate.
