        The behavior still exists: I was reporting it, not asking for
a work-around.

        It begins at the current link.

        I made a mistake in my original message: lynx bypasses the
link if the sought number is in a non-link on the screen, not the
page; if the number is in a non-link on the page but lower than the
bottom of the screen, lynx highlights the link first.
